The Happy Horse Haus is close to I-90, the Hwy-79 Heartland Express, the beautiful Black Hills, Central States Fairgrounds, and the Rapid City Airport. Our new and updated facility is an excellent layover spot offering access to local equine events as well as all eastern and western destinations.

Coggins & health papers are required.

We will ask you for them before you arrive and unload.

The Happy Horse Haus offers:

​​

• Six 12'x12' indoor heated & matted stalls with shavings @ $45 horse/night.

​​

• Five 12'x12' indoor unheated & matted stalls with shavings  @ $35 horse/night

 

• Two covered & one uncovered turnouts (weather permitting) @ $25 horse/night

​​​

• Access to a 75 x 100 outdoor arena is available @ $25 per horse/night. This is a good and safe place for your horses to stretch their legs after a long day on the road.

• All pens are recently installed six rail smooth continuous fence making for an ultra-safe environment for your horse.

​

• 30 amp & 50 amp RV hookups connections are available for $35/night.

​

• Excellent water quality. We seldom, if ever, have a horse that doesn't want to drink our water.  

​

• On-site management and a vet available within 1 mile.  

​

• "The Bunkhaus" apartment and showers.  The Bunkhaus sleeps 2 comfortably and is available for $55/single or $80/double per night.

  • Showers are available for day campers at $10 each.

  • Pets are welcome to stay, but advance notice is requested. There is a $20 pet fee for any pets staying in the Bunkhaus.​
